Formulation notes
- Solubility: clear or lightly clouded drinks need a water soluble flavour. Ethanol carrier disperses instantly in cold water; MPG carrier also survives pasteurisation and hot-fill.
- Concentrates: 10X flavours are 10 times stronger: about 0.01% instead of 0.1%. Lower freight and storage cost on larger runs.
- Masking: for stevia, protein, vitamin, mineral or botanical off-notes. Use it with your main flavour, not instead of it.
2026 trends
- Top 5 (Europe, 2024–25): lemon, cola, orange, lime, apple.
- Rising in 2025: apple, raspberry, mango, peach: sweeter, fruit-forward profiles.
- Sugar reduction: flavour carries more of the taste. 10X and masking flavours help.
- Functional drinks: prebiotic sodas, kombucha, protein and vitamin waters, energy drinks.
- Mocktails: mojito, spritz, bitter orange. Start from our bitters, elderflower and citrus.
