Formulation notes
- Carrier: ethanol carrier for spirits and liqueurs: water soluble and stable in high alcohol.
- Dosage: about 0.5% for liqueurs and syrups, against 0.1% for a soft drink.
- No-alcohol: Masking and Alcohol Booster replace the warmth and weight of ethanol.
- Workhorse: caramel leads the category, so two caramels lead our selection.
2026 trends
- Top flavours (Europe, 2024–25): lemon, strawberry, orange, lime.
- Rising in 2025: lemon, raspberry, pistachio and spicy profiles.
- Range extensions: limited editions and premium one-offs rather than new brands: low MOQ suits this.
- RTD: the growth area. Flavours must hold in sweet, acidic, often carbonated packs.
- No & low: 0.0% gin, rum for mocktails. Buyers still compare to the full-strength original.
